Audi

Audi, a German automobile manufacturer, traces its roots back to August Horch, who founded Horch & Cie. in 1899. After a dispute led to his departure, Horch established a new company in 1909. Unable to use his own name (Horch) due to legal restrictions, he chose the Latin translation, "Audi." Early Audi vehicles were known for their innovation and quality. The four rings of the Audi logo, adopted in 1932, represent the merger of four independent automobile manufacturers: Audi, DKW, Horch, and Wanderer, forming Auto Union.

Following World War II, Auto Union was relocated and eventually acquired by Daimler-Benz in 1958. Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz in 1964, and the Audi brand was revived in 1965 with the introduction of the Audi F103 series. The modern Audi era, marked by a focus on technology, performance, and luxury, truly began in the 1970s and 1980s with models like the Audi 80 (Fox) and the quattro, which pioneered all-wheel-drive technology in passenger cars. Today, Audi is renowned for its advanced engineering, stylish designs, and a broad range of vehicles, from compact hatchbacks to high-performance sports cars and SUVs.
