Bugatti

Bugatti, a name synonymous with automotive excellence and luxury, boasts a rich and often turbulent history. Founded in 1909 in Molsheim, Alsace, by the Italian-born Ettore Bugatti, the company quickly established itself as a maker of exquisitely engineered and beautifully designed vehicles. Bugatti's early successes were largely driven by motorsports, with its cars dominating grand prix racing in the 1920s and 30s. Ettore Bugatti's philosophy was one of uncompromising quality and artistic flair, resulting in cars that were as much works of art as they were engineering marvels. The marque also had its hand in aviation and high-speed rail.

Following Ettore Bugatti's death in 1947, the company struggled and eventually ceased production in the 1950s. The Bugatti name was resurrected several times, most notably in the late 1980s and early 1990s with the Bugatti Automobili SpA, producing the EB110. However, it was Volkswagen Group's acquisition of the Bugatti brand in 1998 that truly cemented its revival. Under Volkswagen's ownership, Bugatti has returned to its former glory, producing some of the most powerful and technologically advanced hypercars in the world, continuing Ettore Bugatti's legacy of engineering innovation and unparalleled luxury.
