Mini

Mini, originally the British Motor Corporation's (BMC) economy car, revolutionized the automotive world with its innovative transverse engine and front-wheel-drive layout, maximizing interior space in a small footprint. Designed by Sir Alec Issigonis, the original Mini, launched in 1959, became a cultural icon of the 1960s. In 1994, BMW acquired the Rover Group, which included the Mini brand. Seeing the potential of the iconic name, BMW invested heavily in developing a modern interpretation. This resulted in the launch of the new MINI in 2001, a larger, more premium hatchback that retained the spirit of the original while meeting modern safety and performance standards.
