Ram

Ram Trucks, stylized as RAM, is an American brand of light to mid-weight commercial vehicles established in 2010 as a spin-off from Dodge. The separation was intended to allow Dodge to focus on cars and SUVs, while Ram would concentrate on trucks and commercial vehicles. However, Ram's roots trace back much further, to the early 20th century when Dodge was a truck manufacturer. Dodge produced its first truck in 1917, a military vehicle for World War I, and continued to expand its truck offerings throughout the decades. These early Dodge trucks laid the foundation for what would eventually become the Ram brand.

The "Ram" name itself, symbolized by the Ram hood ornament, was first used by Dodge in 1932. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, the Dodge Ram pickup became a significant player in the truck market, known for its bold styling and powerful engines. The third-generation Ram, introduced in 2002, was a particularly successful model, contributing to the eventual separation of the Ram brand. Today, Ram continues to produce a range of trucks, from light-duty pickups like the Ram 1500 to heavy-duty work trucks like the Ram 2500 and 3500, as well as commercial vehicles.
